Psychologist

Kerry is a psychologist who has completed a Masters of Counselling Psychology. She has worked across various public and private settings including university and medical clinics, schools, and a drug and alcohol unit. Between 2009-2017.

Kerry has also worked in a number of different roles at the Australian Psychological Society. She enjoys working with both children and adults, and has experience in a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety and worry, depression, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, stress, adjustment and attachment issues, low self-esteem and confidence, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

In a previous role, Kerry was involved in developing and implementing a therapeutic support group for people suffering from OCD. Kerry believes it is important to plan treatment on a case-by-case basis. In her sessions, the use of therapeutic techniques such as Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy are utilised and tailored to the needs of each individual.

Additional intervention strategies include relaxation skills training, values work, stress and time management, and self-esteem and confidence building. Kerry’s therapeutic style is client-centred and goal-directed, with a particular focus on assisting clients to develop insight and awareness.
