Janelle draws on over 15 years experience and is passionate in bringing support to people who have been through traumatic/stressful experiences. She is committed to helping her clients process stressful events and learn how to build healthy perceptions of themselves and their relationships. She strongly believes trust and rapport are key factors in supporting clients focus on ineffective behaviours, habits and beliefs.
She believes in taking a collaborative approach and knows that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and draws on a range of evidence based therapeutic frameworks to achieve the best outcomes for her clients.
Janelle has intensively trained in Cognitive Analytical therapy, Cognitive Behaviour therapy and Mindfulness. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, adjustment and emotional issues and relationship conflict.
Janelle has also worked extensively with suicide intervention, coordinating Lifeline’s suicide intervention team for several years and is an accredited Master trainer in ASIST workshops.
