Clinical Psychologist

Sonal is a registered clinical psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society and APS college of Clinical Psychologists. She has completed a Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree and is a board approved supervisor.

Sonal has over ten years of experience in a variety of settings including acute, community, and private services. She specializes in providing therapy for adults, couples, and families.

She can assist with a range of difficulties including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, psychotic illnesses, personality disturbances, dual diagnoses, relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma, and chronic complex health issues.

Her interventions are focused on empowering individuals and facilitating their capacity to develop strategies to cope with their problems. She has training and experience in a range of therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Sonal also speaks Hindi and can work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
