Psychologist

Jennifer is a registered psychologist who has completed a Master of Psychology (Counselling Psychology) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

She is warm, empathic, respectful and non-judgemental, and places significant value on establishing a collaborative and safe therapeutic relationship.

Jennifer has experience working with emerging adults to older adults across a variety of settings including drug and alcohol dependency and rehabilitation, universities, women’s services and community health. Jennifer’s clinical interests and experience include adult survivors of childhood trauma (physical, emotional, sexual abuse and neglect), PTSD, anxiety and anxiety disorders such as OCD, depression, eating disorders and body image concerns, gender and sexuality issues, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, grief and loss, anger and anger management, chronic health issues and pain.

She has been trained in and utilises a wide range evidence-based approaches that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each client, including cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, schema therapy, internal family systems therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing and interpersonal therapy. She also facilitates groups in mindfulness-based techniques to alleviate stress and anxiety.
